Artist Biography

Thomas considers himself a native New Yorker where he presently lives and has his studio. He received his MFA from Colorado College. After getting his MFA he returned to Brooklyn and Studied with John Murray. He then went onto study at The Atelier Lack in Minneapolis, Minnesota and The School of Representational Art in Chicago. He has worked as a studio assistant for David Salle and Ron Gorchov.

Artist Statement

My painting partly explores the use of representational objects to narrate the geopolitical, social and environmental challenges that face us all.
